What’s more, it comes with a wonderful instructions and recipe booklet. And when you Make your cheese and then use it in a divine Leek and Goat’s Cheese Crumble Tart!

With just 4 pints of goat’s* milk and this Goat’s Cheese Kit you could be impressing your friends and family with your delicious Chevre (from the French for goat.) This kit makes two varieties, a firm crumbly cheese, and a soft creamy one. All you need at home is a large pan and colander.

The kit contains enough ingredients to make 10 batches, and each batch weighs around 680g. There’s no need to make it all at once though… that would be a crazy amount of cheese! Stored in your cupboard this kit will last absolutely ages (well over a year) so you have plenty of time to enjoy it and dip in and out of cheese making.

Works well

Obviously you are paying more for some basic bits of equipment because it’s in a kit but it all works well and makes a nice gift. Clear instructions and if you take a shine to it can easily replace what you need to keep making goats cheese.

Make a nice gift

This Kit has everything you need (except the stainless steel, pan and goats milk) I just made a half quantity to taste it and see how it turned out and tasted. I didn’t think it had worked at first but my cheese was 120g and a lot of weight came out ideal for making my bread the only thing that lets it down is the thermometer it had a few sharp edges otherwise it would have got five stars.

Simple kit for cheese making

In lockdown, other people learned to make sourdough loaves, or banana bread. Mr Bee learned to make cheese from a kit I got him. So we were keen to try this one out.For vegetarians, it's good because it doesn't use rennet, relying on citric acid. It's probably best if you can get large amounts of goats milk as each batch takes just over 2 litres, although we also tried with full fat cow's milk and that was good (full fat milk is vital). It's a simple process but does need precision in heating.Fun for a foodie.

Very Nicely Presented.

The Goats Cheese Making Kit comes with everything you need to make 10 batches of cheese.I especially like that the manual recipe book has images in to show you what you are making.I have not tried the kit yet and life has got in the way, new job, short staffed, damp proof coarse in my home for example. To be updated..........

Accidently used cow milk

We accidently used this with cows milk and it was still really pleasant. So quick and easy, the kids loved learning how to do it. Great family activity
